Here is a simple list to remember, extracted from my speech at 20th Harbinger Group Annual Awards Function.
1. If you want to jump into business, jump with both your feet.
2. Money is the result of business, not its sole purpose.
3. Never lie to a customer.
4. Reward employees on merit.
5. Sell and do what you are passionate about - business thrives on passion.
Of course, I have deleted all the funny examples that accompanied the recitation of these rules. Hope the summary helps.
Thank you very much Vikas, the whole experience was wonderful
ReplyDeleteI think "Entrepreneurship" is more than doing business or talking business, it's a perfect way of redfining and rediscovering ourseleves as we move along the path and it's evry turn and I can say this even without romanticizing the whole idea of "Entrepreneurship". It's a definite growth path and a positive one as human being.
ReplyDeleteHi Vikas,
ReplyDeleteI read your blogs. Wonderful and motivating. At 54, at the cross roads thinking why did i opted to become an entrepreneur, i sure do need some dozes like these. But still, sailing through all these, after building solutions, establised them with few implementations and with all my indian and overseas assertive marketing experiences, when i find moving on further to be very difficult without proper investment makes one rethink... again and again...
what do you say?
